Lunchtime Learning: Our Unconscious Bias Getting the Best of Us -- Teaching and Practice In-Person

Explore the role of stereotypes in shaping bias with Dr. Jeffery Lamont Wilson, an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership. This session will guide participants to uncovering bias thoughts and actions in everyday work and provide useful tools to address situations where biases occur.

As a result of this session participants will be able to:

  • Define micro-aggressions.
  • Define unconscious bias.
  • Recognize potential for unconscious bias in thought processes
  • Explain implications of bias for sectors such as higher education and the workplace.
