P&T 101: Starting your Promotion and Tenure Planning Online

This session is designed for faculty who have not yet formally started the promotion and tenure (P&T) process, but are starting to think about their P&T timeline and preparation.  Members of the SOM Faculty Affairs and Development team will be available for a brief overview of the SOM P&T annual cycle and resources, and to answer your questions.

As a result of attending this P&T 101 session, you will be able to:

  1. Describe the basic calendar timeline for the annual P&T review process
  2. Name at least two key criteria required for your promotion to the next level as faculty 
  3. Explain the importance of discussing P&T during the annual Portfolio evaluation process
  4. Access on-line and in-person resources to support your P&T planning
