Join us for Unpacking Quality and Safety Models to understand patient quality and safety. Learn about a framework that fosters excellence in patient care. Gain knowledge of its internal, external, and organizational dimensions, and equip yourself with tools to provide optimal care and to inform your learner/trainee education experience.
Learning Objectives:

Participants will recognize the components of key definitions outlined by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) that define Patient Quality and Safety.

Participants will gain awareness of a prominent patient quality and safety operational model .

Participants will identify key components of internal, external, and organizational dimensions of patient quality and safety as defined by CMS.

If you complete all three sessions, you are eligible to receive:
- Intermediate Badge: Patient Quality and Safety for Optimal Patient Outcomes
- VCU CE Credits: 0.3 (these CE credits are distributed from the University CE office only)

If you complete all three sessions and submit a proposal for a measurable project to improve quality and safety in your department (with the support of your chair), and your proposal is approved, you are eligible to receive:
- Advanced Badge: Patient Quality and Safety for Optimal Patient Outcomes

The office will provide program support ($500) to up to three approved proposals to help implement and evaluate the project
