Colleague Check-In: Supporting a positive work environment - and each other. In-Person
Bring your lunch and join us for this workshop! Unprofessional behaviors, even relatively minor events, have a negative impact on the learning and work environment. Behaviors can repeat and escalate if not addressed, but it can be uncomfortable to do so without knowing how to address them. Checking in on our colleagues and learners is part of a supportive and mutually accountable work and learning culture.
As a result of participating in this session, learners will be able to:
- identify opportunities to “check-in” on colleagues, students, and others in our work and learning environments.
- consider the context and possible contributing factors for instances of unprofessional behavior
- describe the broader impact of unprofessional behaviors
- describe best practices in check-in conversations
- begin to develop approaches to initiating and having check-in conversations
