Item Writing Boot Camp (Face-to-Face)

Item Writing Boot Camp (Face-to-Face) In-Person

**Note:  This "Item Writing" Boot Camp will be a Face-to-Face" session held in MMEC 3-101.

How do you know they know? Exam questions help verify transfer of knowledge. Writing quality questions that both give you information about the learners’ understanding and accurately target specific learning objectives can be difficult. Join Dr. Diane Biskobing as you learn about NBME item writing practices for multiple choice questions and the process for aligning those questions to learning objectives. We welcome the VCU Community’s participation!

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe NBME guildelines for writing exam questions.
  • Write or revise exam questions to meet NBME guidelines.
*Registration closes and reminder is sent 1 hour before the event at the email you provided during registration.
