Zoom at Noon - Communicating in the Lab: Building Great Teams from Day 1 Online
Managing a research lab requires communication, delegation, clarity, and empathy. In this session, participants will reflect on their communication style and how communication styles can impact interactions with trainees. Participants will also have the opportunity to hone their empathetic listening skills and use those skills to maximize their mentoring relationships.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Understand your communication styles
- Recognize different communication preferences and how they can impact mentoring relationships
- Practice empathetic listening with cultural awareness in conversations with your trainees
