Lunchtime Learning: Using Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) to Discover Your Teaching Perspective

Lunchtime Learning: Using Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) to Discover Your Teaching Perspective In-Person

All members of the VCU community including fellows, housestaff & Inova and VAMC faculty are invited.

By the end of this session, participants will have:

  • Categorized beliefs, values, and assumptions about teaching into five different perspectives present in the literature.
  • Developed an appreciation for the strengths and weaknesses of each perspective when applied to health professions education.
  • Considered the benefits of multiple perspectives of "good teaching" to resist a one-size-fits-all approach for teaching effectiveness.
